Terms of Use

Last updated 6 September 2026

Ride Blocks offers fitness guidance, not medical advice. Ride within your limits and stop if you feel unwell.

About these terms

These terms describe use of the Ride Blocks app and rideblocks.com, developed and operated by Emanuel Pumnea, an individual developer. Questions can be sent to support@rideblocks.com.

Ride Blocks is currently free, with no Ride Blocks account, in-app purchases, or subscriptions. Your use remains subject to applicable law and any rights that law gives you.

Fitness guidance and safe use

Training plans, workouts, FTP estimates, and other metrics provide general fitness information. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and they do not guarantee improved fitness or any particular result.

Choose workouts and intensity appropriate for your fitness, experience, and current condition. If you have concerns about exercising, consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting. FTP tests involve strenuous exercise: start only if you feel well and are ready for a sustained, hard effort. Stop exercising if you feel unwell.

Set up and use your bike, trainer, and sensors safely, following their manufacturers’ instructions. Ride Blocks reads sensor data; it does not control trainer resistance. Remain attentive to your equipment and surroundings, including when using Overlay Mode or Picture in Picture.

Estimates, compatibility, and availability

Workout targets, FTP, training load, calories, and other calculations are estimates. Their accuracy depends on your inputs, sensor readings, and the calculation methods used. Sensors can disconnect or report inaccurate data, and syncing can be delayed or interrupted. Do not rely on Ride Blocks for emergency monitoring or safety-critical decisions.

Features depend on compatible devices, operating systems, sensors, and permissions. Compatibility, uninterrupted availability, and preservation of every saved record cannot be guaranteed. Keep copies of information you consider important where export or backup options are available.

App Store licensing and Apple services

The app obtained through the App Store is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These terms do not replace or amend that license agreement.

Apple Health, iCloud, the App Store, and other Apple services are provided by Apple and are subject to Apple’s applicable terms and your device settings. Their availability and operation are outside our control. Third-party hardware and services may have their own terms.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains local storage, optional iCloud Sync, Apple Health, diagnostics, and support correspondence. Acknowledging an in-app safety notice confirms that you have read that notice; it is not a liability waiver.

Ownership and lawful use

Rights in the Ride Blocks software, branding, and original website content remain with their respective owners. Your training data remains yours. Third-party components and materials retain their respective licenses and notices.

Use the app and website lawfully. Do not interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use their content in ways that infringe others’ rights. This does not restrict uses permitted by applicable law or the app’s license.

Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without additional promises of accuracy, uninterrupted operation, or suitability for a particular purpose. The app’s warranty and liability provisions are set out in Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Emanuel Pumnea is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website, including lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or removes any mandatory consumer guarantees, remedies, or other rights.

Changes and contact

Features may change or be discontinued over time, subject to applicable law and the app’s license. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Where notice or consent is legally required, we will provide it; posting an update does not by itself obtain that consent.
